Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Visits JUTH, Sympathizes with Angwa Rukuba Attack Victims

The Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Bernard Doro, paid a compassionate visit to victims of the recent Angwa Rukuba attack currently receiving treatment at Jos University Teaching Hospital in Jos.
The Minister was accompanied by key government officials, including Mark John, member representing Jos North West in the Plateau State House of Assembly; Aliyu Adam, representing Jos North North; and Nicholas Baamlong, the Honourable Commissioner for Health in Plateau State.
During the visit, the Minister went round the wards to personally assess the condition of the injured victims and interact with medical personnel overseeing their care. He expressed deep concern over the unfortunate incident and extended heartfelt condolences to families affected by the attack. He assured the victims and the hospital management of the Federal Government’s commitment to providing necessary support, including medical assistance and humanitarian relief, to aid their recovery and ease their suffering.
Speaking during the visit, the Commissioner for Health, Nicholas Baamlong, appreciated the Minister for the visit, noting that it demonstrates the government’s concern for the wellbeing of its citizens. He further commended the management and staff of JUTH for their prompt response and dedication to saving lives.
The accompanying lawmakers also expressed solidarity with the victims and called for sustained efforts towards ensuring peace and security across communities in Jos and beyond.
The visit underscores the government’s continued commitment to responding to crises and supporting victims of violence, while reinforcing calls for unity and lasting peace in Plateau State.
