JUTH FITNESS CLUB PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO MANAGEMENT, SEEKS SUPPORT FOR EXERCISE EQUIPMENT

The JUTH Fitness Club on Friday, 24th July, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Management of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) to formally introduce the club and seek Management’s support in promoting staff fitness and wellness.
Speaking during the visit, the club’s representatives Dr. Thelma Akumuo explained that the JUTH Fitness Club comprises staff from all cadres of the hospital and currently has a membership of 46. They stated that the club was established to encourage physical fitness, healthy living, and stronger interpersonal relationships among staff members.
The representatives appealed to the hospital Management to assist the club with exercise equipment to enhance its fitness activities and encourage greater staff participation.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Pokop Bupwatda, Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Njem Josiah Miner, commended the initiative and described the Fitness Club as a valuable platform for promoting unity, healthy living, and staff well-being.
Dr. Miner assured the club of Management’s continued support, noting that any initiative that brings JUTH staff together, keeps them healthy, and promotes happiness is a welcome development.
Also present at the courtesy visit were the Director of Administration, Mr. Tunji Adegboye, and the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee in charge of Education and Training, Dr. Anna B. Gyang. The courtesy visit ended with a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
