The Chief Medical Director of Jos University Teaching Hospital on Wednesday was presented with an Award by the National Ophthalmic Nurses Association(NONA) Plateau state chapter.
The award was presented to Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda as a recognition of the giant strides his administration has achieved within the shortest period of time in office.
The Chief Medical Director who has so far helped the Ophthalmology department acquire OCT Machines and the Installation of Phaco for the department, which will in no doubt help improve the delivery of quality health services within the department and the hospital at large. The award was also in appreciation of the commencement of call duty allowance for deserved workers (ophthalmic nurses inclusive).
Dr. Pokop appreciated NONA and the Department of Ophthalmology for the award while hoping to do more for the department and the hospital in general.

Nr. Williams Nyam, a former nurse of the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Unit at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), has donated essential medical supplies from the UK to support the department.
