The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), Dr. Pokop Wushipba Bupwatda, has received a donation of medical equipment from Emmanuel, a Registered Nurse and former trainee of JUTH, through the Natalie Foundation.
The donation, which includes hospital beds, chairs, stretchers, drip stands, screens and a first aid box, is aimed at improving patients’ comfort and supporting healthcare workers in service delivery.
Presenting the items, Emmanuel Udeh said the gesture was his way of giving back to the institution where he received his professional training.
“My first thought was to contribute to Jos University Teaching Hospital because here I trained, and I have to give back to society,” he said. Receiving the items, Dr. Bupwatda commended the donor for remembering JUTH and called on other professionals who passed through the institution to support its development.
He stressed that no contribution is too small, noting that the spirit and thought behind giving back are what matter.
The CMD described the donation as particularly significant as it was one of his first official engagements following his return to Jos after his reappointment for a second tenure.
