The Association of Heads of Federal Establishments (AHFE), Plateau State Chapter, officially opened its 2026 annual meeting with a call for unity, collaboration, and continued commitment among members.
The meeting was declared open by the Chairman of the association, Mr. Emmanuel Taukek, who warmly welcomed all members and appreciated their dedication to the growth and welfare of the association. He stated that the gathering was not only to deliberate on important issues but also to recognize and honour members who have shown diligence and commitment in advancing the association’s objectives.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to deserving recipients. Among the awardees was the Chief Medical Director of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), who was honoured for his selfless and meritorious service, as well as his immense contributions to the association.
In his response, the CMD expressed heartfelt appreciation to the association for the recognition. He reaffirmed that JUTH would continue to partner and collaborate with the association and remain supportive of its activities and initiatives.
During the meeting, members deliberated on key issues affecting federal establishments in Plateau State. Prominent among the discussions was the standard of school institutions and the state of education in Plateau State. Members emphasized the need for improved infrastructure and government support to ensure quality education and better learning environments for citizens across the state.
In an interview session, Chairman Emmanuel Taukek explained that the purpose of the meeting was to acknowledge and appreciate members who have demonstrated dedication and selfless service to the association. He noted that the recognition was intended to encourage greater participation and commitment among members.
In his closing remarks, the Chairman expressed gratitude to all members for their unwavering support, unity, and commitment to the progress of the association.
