In a courtesy call with the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), the General Manager Director (GMD) of Plateau Express Service announced the inclusion of JUTH in their new transportation route. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Plateau State Government’s transportation services will now cater to the hospital, enhancing accessibility for both staff and patients.
During the meeting, the GMD assured JUTH management that a branded shelter for Metro buses would be established at the hospital. A designated site for the shelter was shown to the Plateau Express Service team by JUTH officials.
Representing the CMD, Dr. Josiah Njem Miner expressed his gratitude for the initiative. He emphasized the critical need for reliable transportation services to support the daily commute of hospital staff, patients, and their families. Dr. Miner highlighted that this development would significantly ease transportation challenges and improve overall access to healthcare services at JUTH.
The collaboration marks a positive step towards improving public transportation infrastructure and ensuring better service delivery for the JUTH community.
