Renovated Staff Hostels at Comprehensive Health Centre Zamko

In a significant boost to staff welfare, the renovated staff hostel at the Comprehensive Health Centre Zamko officially handed over to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) management in a ceremonial event. SALPA Nigeria Ltd, the company responsible for the renovation project, transferred the facilities to JUTH.
The ceremony, held at the Comprehensive Health Centre Zamko, was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from SALPA Nigeria Ltd, JUTH management, and staff members of the health center The event marked the successful completion of the renovation project aimed at providing improved living conditions for the healthcare workers.
The Managing Director of SALPA Nigeria Ltd, Engr. Adetutu thanked the management for trusting them to deliver on their commitment to providing suitable accommodation for the health workers of the facility. Afterwards, a tour of the renovated facilitie, showcasing the improved social amenities and living spaces, was held before the handover was officially done.
Following the official handover from SALPA Nigeria Ltd to JUTH, Dr. Pokop Bupwatda formally handed over the keys to the Head of Security department, which in turn handed it over to the medical superintendent of the Comprehensive Health Centre Zamko, Dr. Mashak Joseph Gusen who expressed his gratitude for the much-needed renovations, stating, “This initiative will greatly enhance the working environment for our staff, allowing them to better serve the community.”
Dr. Bupwatda, Chief Medical Director of JUTH, expressed his appreciation to SALPA Nigeria Ltd for their excellent work and commitment to enhancing the infrastructure at the health centre. “The renovated hostels will significantly improve the living standards for our dedicated staff, thereby boosting their morale and productivity,” he noted.
He also highlighted the importance of providing quality accommodations for healthcare professionals, emphasizing that the renovated hostels reflect their commitment to the social welfare of staff.
The newly renovated hostels are expected to provide a comfortable and conducive living environment for the healthcare workers, contributing to better service delivery at the health centre.This handover ceremony marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure and staff welfare at the Comprehensive Health Centre Zamko, furthering JUTH’s mission to provide excellent healthcare services.
The Chief Medical Director, in his speech, said the management team is positioned to do more, emphasising the possibility of achieving what seems impossible.
