PRTVC MANAGEMENT VISITS JUTH, SEEKS STRONGER PARTNERSHIP AND HEALTH OUTREACH

The Management Team of Plateau Radio Television Corporation (PRTVC), led by its General Manager, Mrs. Rita Kachallom Pam, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), Dr. Pokop Bupwatda, to express gratitude for the hospital’s continued media collaboration and to explore fresh avenues for partnership.
Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Pam commended JUTH for its unwavering support in public health communication and its openness to collaboration. She said the visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between both institutions, learn more about the hospital’s success stories, and request a medical outreach at PRTVC as part of future joint initiatives.
In his response, Dr. Bupwatda congratulated Mrs. Pam on her appointment as General Manager, noting that this was his first opportunity to do so in person. He praised PRTVC for its professionalism and promptness in responding to JUTH’s media needs, which he said has helped ensure timely delivery of vital health information to the public.
The CMD revealed plans to participate in a live health program on PRTVC to share JUTH’s achievements, innovations such as the newly introduced wallet service for seamless patient care, and other developments, while giving the public an opportunity to ask questions. He also proposed a retainership arrangement to grant PRTVC staff access to JUTH’s amenity services at discounted rates and highlighted specialized services offered by the hospital, including cochlear implant surgeries and the In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Centre.
Responding to PRTVC’s outreach request, Dr. Bupwatda pledged that JUTH would organize an ophthalmology medical outreach at PRTVC to provide eye care services for its staff and the wider community.
The visit ended with a guided tour of JUTH’s Accident & Emergency Unit, where the PRTVC team was briefed on the facility’s operations and success stories. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to sustained collaboration in advancing public health and community service.
