NUC Conducts Resource Verification at JUTH for Two New Academic Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) conducted a resource verification visit to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) on Monday, 16th June 2025, as part of the process towards establishing two new academic programmes under the Faculty of Health Sciences & Technology, University of Jos.
The programmes under consideration are the Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) and Bachelor of Radiography (B.Rad) — a landmark development for the Faculty and the University at large. The visit marks a significant step forward in expanding the institution’s academic offerings in response to the growing demand for advanced healthcare training and services in Nigeria.
The NUC Team was warmly received by key officials of the Jos University Teaching Hospital including Dr. Njem Miner, who represented the Chief Medical Director (CMD); the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. Jeremiah Aboi Madaki; the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences & Technology, Prof. James Damen; as well as representatives from the proposed departments of Physiotherapy and Radiography.
