JUTH NURSING DEPARTMENT HOSTS WORKSHOP ON BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES BY RNAO CANADA

The Nursing Department of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) recently held a transformative workshop focused on the implementation of Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs) developed by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO), Canada.
The workshop brought together nursing professionals and educators with the goal of enhancing the quality of patient care through the adoption of evidence-based practices. Participants explored the vital connection between research, evidence-based practice, and improved patient outcomes, emphasizing the critical role of continuous learning in healthcare delivery.
Through the RNAO BPG-related implementation program, attendees gained practical tools and strategies to integrate research findings into clinical practice, thereby strengthening the link between nursing education and quality care.
A key highlight of the workshop was the development of actionable plans to implement BPGs within JUTH’s Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) framework. These plans aim to support nurses in leading change, improving clinical outcomes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The event marked a significant step in promoting a culture of excellence and accountability in nursing practice at JUTH.
