The Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) held a Grand Rounds session focusing on advances and practical experiences in brain and spine surgery.
The session, themed “Brain and Spine Surgery: Doing Much with Little – The Jos University Teaching Hospital Experience,” brought together consultants, resident doctors, and other healthcare professionals to discuss innovative approaches to neurosurgical care in resource-limited settings.
Speaking during the session, facilitators highlighted how medical teams at JUTH continue to deliver life-saving neurosurgical interventions despite challenges related to equipment and infrastructure. They emphasized the importance of teamwork, skill development, and innovative thinking in improving patient outcomes in brain and spine surgeries.
Participants also shared clinical experiences and case studies, providing insights into the practical realities of neurosurgical practice at the hospital.
