In a critical need to improve the healthcare system in the state Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has commissioned a state of the art facility twin operating theatre suite at the Jos University Teaching Hospital(JUTH).
The new structure, built under the supervision of Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG), plans to ease the significant delays for medical procedures and give life-saving activities, particularly for the individuals who are monetarily distraught.
During the commission Governor Mutfwang commented, “The expansion of this twin operating theatre will serve a more noteworthy number of patients, considerably lessening postponements and saving various lives. He extended his appreciation to NLNG for their commitment towards the development of the region.
The Chief Medical Director of JUTH, Dr. Pokop Bupwatda thanked the management of NLNG for the construction of the twin operating theatre and then urged the emergency clinic staff to keep up with their exclusive expectations of commitment.
The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Kachollom Daju portrayed the task as a critical Corporate Social Responsibility by NLNG Ltd. She also encouraged the JUTH management to determinedly keep up with the development and guarantee its ideal use for conveying quality healthcare services.
Mr. Andy Odeh, the General Manager, Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) during the inauguration of the project, on Wednesday, said this kind gesture was the organization’s own way of contribution to the development of healthcare infrastructure across the globe.
Dr Pokop Bupwatda, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of JUTH, commended the NLNG for the project which commenced in 2023 with the signing of a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) between the both parties.
Also the occasion was graced by different speakers which included Most Rev. Dr. Benjamin Kwashi. Bagudu Hirse, Senator Diket Plang, Senator Pam Dachung Mwadkon and the Gbong Gwom Jos, Da. Jacob Gyang Buba.
