The Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) hosted its highly anticipated End of Year Get Together Dinner and Awards Night. The prestigious event held at Crispan Hotel Jos, was a night of celebration, recognition, and camaraderie, attended by an array of distinguished guests and dignitaries.
Among the esteemed attendees were the Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya; Chief Kefas Wungak Ropshik; and Ambassador Ibrahim DogonYaro. Some members of The 9th Board Member of JUTH were also present at the event. The event also saw the presence of various Heads of Departments, Professors, and staff members of the hospital community, all gathered to honor the outstanding contributions of their colleagues.
The evening commenced with an opening address by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda, who highlighted the significant achievements of JUTH in the past year and expressed his gratitude to the dedicated faculty and staff. Chief Kefas Wungak Ropshik
also delivered speech, commending the hospital for its relentless pursuit of excellence in healthcare and education.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of Merit Awards to distinguished faculty and staff members who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and service. The awards, aimed at recognizing and encouraging excellence, were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Additionally, the evening featured the presentation of medals to the winners of the JUCAST (Jos University Teaching Hospital CMD Annual Tournament) sports competition. The JUCAST competition, an annual event, promotes physical fitness and teamwork among the hospital community. This year’s winners were celebrated for their remarkable performances in various sports, including football, handball, track events and many others.
The night was filled with a festive spirit, marked by musical performances, a sumptuous dinner, and opportunities for networking and socializing. It was a memorable occasion that not only celebrated the achievements of the past year but also set a positive tone for the year ahead.
