The chief medical director juth in his remark resounded the great benevelence of Chief kefas Wungak of the Kefiano Global Foundation who has shown great care for humanity through his philanthropic acts, one of the largest of them, being the renovation of accident and emergency unit of the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Juth. The CMD appreciated kefiano for upgrading the A and E unit to the second best of its kind in the country at large.
Philanthropist Chief Kefas Ropshik, also known as Kefiano, has made a groundbreaking impact on healthcare in Nigeria by renovating and opening the Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH). The renovated unit stands as a testament to Kefiano’s dedication to the people of Plateau, ensuring their health and well-being are safeguarded. Chief Kefiano pledged 5 million naira to cover bills for the first 30 emergency patients to be admitted at the ward and offered to cover the monthly costs of essential items like hand gloves at sanitizers for the wards.
The permanent secretary federal ministry of health and social welfare, Miss Kachollom Daju, presented Chief Kefiano with an appreciation letter from the Minister of Health and reemphasized the need for patients care stating the fact that federal hospitals has received the most criticism on inadequate health care services unfortunately. She also stated that the feedback is a welcome information that will help in making developmental changes in health centres. Additionally, she mentioned the Federal Government’s provision of free emergency buses.
Dr. Bupwatda Pokop Wushipba, JUTH’s Chief Medical Director, praised Kefiano’s philanthropic efforts, highlighting the renovation as a significant contribution to humanity. Kefiano challenged others to support hospital improvements, emphasizing the need for collective action. In his remark that chief Kefiano has upgraded the facility to the second best in the country with the vision of taking it still to the very best of its kind.
