The Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) held its quarterly Grand Rounds at the College of Health Sciences New Auditorium. This edition of the academic gathering, organized by the Residency Training Committee, focused on a crucial topic in modern medicine: “Breast Cancer and Breast Reconstruction.”
The Grand Rounds, which is a regular feature of JUTH’s academic and clinical excellence, brought together medical professionals, resident doctors, and students for an insightful session aimed at deepening understanding and improving patient outcomes in breast cancer treatment and post-surgical reconstruction.
Started at about 8 am prompt, the session provided a multidisciplinary platform to discuss recent advances, challenges, and case studies surrounding breast cancer management and the various reconstructive options available to patients.
The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda who was unavoidably absent was represented by the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee, Dr. Njem Josiah Miner who commended the participants from various departments across the department for their commitment to continuous professional development and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn and share knowledge in a structured academic environment.
The event once again reinforced JUTH’s standing as a leading institution in healthcare education, service, and innovation in Nigeria.
