Nigerian Medical Laboratory Science Students Pay Courtesy Visit to JUTH Management

The Nigerian Medical Laboratory Science Students Association, University of Jos Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the management of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) to express their gratitude for the institution’s unwavering support and cooperation over the years.

The visit aimed to strengthen the existing partnership between the students and the hospital while seeking guidance and advice on their academic and professional journeys. The Chief Medical Director (CMD), who was unavoidably absent, was ably represented by Dr. Josiah Njem Miner, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC). Also in attendance was the Director of Administration, Mrs. Roseline Sani, and the Deputy CMAC in charge of Research and Ethics, Prof. Chundung Asabe Miner.

During the meeting, the student representatives commended JUTH for providing an excellent training environment that has contributed immensely to their professional development. They highlighted the importance of continuous collaboration between the hospital and the department to enhance practical learning and research opportunities.

Dr. Josiah Njem Miner, speaking on behalf of the CMD, reaffirmed JUTH’s commitment to supporting students in their academic and professional endeavors. He encouraged them to uphold excellence and ethical standards in medical laboratory science, assuring them of the hospital’s willingness to explore more avenues for partnership.

Mrs. Roseline Sani and Prof. Chundung Asabe Miner also commended the students for their dedication and urged them to take full advantage of the learning opportunities available at JUTH. They emphasized the importance of research and ethical practice in shaping their careers.

The visit concluded with a renewed commitment from both parties to foster a stronger working relationship that will enhance the quality of medical laboratory science education and practice.
