JUTH Holds Multidisciplinary Team Workshop for World Cancer Day

Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) marked World Cancer Day with a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Workshop focused on breast cancer diagnosis and management. The event commenced with a word of prayer and the national anthem, followed by a welcome address from Dr. Maurice, Head of the Oncology Department.

Dr Bupwatda who gave the heart-warming assurance at the JUTH Breast Multidisciplinary Team Management workshop held at the hospital’s Catering hall, stated that the cancer disease is 100 per cent curable if it is discovered at the early stage and managed well, with effective and correct medication. He said that JUTH will continue to play it’s role effectively to ensure that standard healthcare services are delivered on daily basis.
The CMD emphasized that nobody can manage cancer disease alone but by working as a team. In order to achieve world best practices, Dr. Pokop assured that JUTH under his watch will continue to give its best in adding value to humanity; collaborate and support any agency or spirited individuals that will contribute their quota healthwise for the betterment of not only the people of Plateau State but Nigerians at large.
