JUTH Suicide Prevention and Response Team hosts sensitization walk

The Suicide Prevention and Response Team held a successful sensitization walk on the 10th of September, 2024 aimed at raising awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. The event kicked off with participants distributing informative pamphlets to passersby, offering crucial resources and helpline numbers.

The walk included an energetic session of aerobic exercises, led by fitness expert, emphasizing the importance of physical health in maintaining mental well-being. Adding a touch of creativity to the event, theatre art students performed a powerful playlet that highlighted the struggles faced by individuals with mental health issues and the importance of community support.

The event concluded with a heartfelt closing remark by a team member, who thanked participants for their involvement and reinforced the message that help is always available for those in need. The walk was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
