Chief Medical Director Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) was bestowed with the prestigious Sir Ahmadu Bello Distinguished Leadership Award and a medal by the Northern Youth Association of Nigeria (NYAN) during a special ceremony held at his office.
The Northern Youth Association of Nigeria recognized Dr. Pokop’s exceptional leadership qualities and unwavering commitment to healthcare advancement in the region. His visionary leadership at JUTH has significantly contributed to the enhancement of healthcare services and the promotion of medical education and research.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Pokop expressed gratitude for the esteemed honor and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in improving healthcare delivery for all residents of the Northern region while shunning ethnicity, religious differences, tribalism which mostly exists within communities of recent.
Dr. Pokop’s receipt of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Distinguished Leadership Award and medal underscores his outstanding contributions to healthcare leadership and underscores his commitment to excellence in healthcare service delivery.
