PLATEAU STATE NYSC STATE COORDINATOR PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO JUTH MANAGEMENT

In an effort to enhance the collaboration between the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), the NYSC 41st State Coordinator Mr. Yavala Jonathan Iliya paid a courtesy visit to the hospital’s management team. The visit was primarily to express gratitude for the acceptance and exceptional treatment of corps members by JUTH.
The NYSC state coordinator commended the JUTH management for their continuous support and highlighted the positive impact this has had on the corps members’ experiences and professional growth. The official emphasized the importance of maintaining and strengthening this partnership to ensure the welfare and productivity of the corps members.
During the meeting, the NYSC state coordinator solicited for an increase in the number of medical personnel assigned to the NYSC orientation camp. Additionally, the coordinator requested the supply of essential drugs, taking into consideration that the NYSC is covered under the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). These provisions are crucial for rendering adequate health services to corps members during their orientation period.
The JUTH management, Prof. Chungdung Asabe Miner who represented the the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda, expressed their appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the NYSC. They acknowledged the requests and assured the NYSC official of their willingness to collaborate further in providing the necessary resources and personnel to improve health services at the orientation camp.
This visit underscores the ongoing efforts to build a robust partnership between the NYSC and JUTH, aiming to enhance the health and well-being of corps members in Plateau State.
