JUTH Holds Quarterly Grand Rounds on Cancer Awareness

The Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) on Friday, 12th September 2025, held its quarterly Grand Rounds at the College of Health Sciences New Auditorium. The academic and clinical event, organized by the Residency Training Committee, focused on the theme: “Cancers: An Overview.”
The session, which commenced at 8:00 a.m. prompt, brought together consultants, resident doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals for an in-depth discussion on the burden of cancer, recent advances in diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
As part of JUTH’s tradition of academic excellence, the quarterly Grand Rounds serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing, critical case discussions, and continuous professional development. The September edition emphasized the importance of early detection, multidisciplinary management, and patient-centered care in tackling the growing cancer challenge.
Participants lauded the hospital’s commitment to fostering medical education and improving clinical practice, noting that such engagements contribute significantly to better patient outcomes.
The event once again underscored JUTH’s role as a leading tertiary health institution dedicated to healthcare service, training, and research.
