The Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) has successfully concluded the academic lecture series delivered by Prof. Ulusihewage Nirmala Dushyanthi, a lecturer with the Department of Anatomy, Genetics and Biomedical Informatics, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The lecture series, which ran from 12th to 23rd January, 2026, held daily from 8:00am to 10:00am, attracted wide participation from Resident Doctors, Consultants, and Laboratory Technicians across various clinical and diagnostic disciplines within the hospital.
The programme focused on strengthening the integration of anatomy, genetics, and biomedical informatics into clinical practice, with sessions designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy, clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants described the lectures as insightful, practical, and highly relevant to contemporary medical practice.
The hospital management commended Prof. Dushyanthi for her dedication and valuable contribution to capacity building at JUTH, noting that the series significantly enriched the hospital’s academic environment.
