APC CHAIRMAN VISITS JUTH AHEAD OF 14-DAYS FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH ACROSS THE PLATEAU

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, paid an inspection visit to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) to assess the level of preparedness and inspect medical equipment ahead of the 14-day free medical outreach scheduled to hold in the institution.
The outreach is being organized by Sharing Hope Medical Mission (USA) and the Sharing Hope and Care Foundation, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, in collaboration with JUTH, and sponsored by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe. The program aims to provide quality and accessible healthcare services to the less privileged, with a focus on addressing critical medical needs within Plateau State and beyond.
During the inspection, Prof. Goshwe expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation and commended the collaborative effort of all partners involved. He reaffirmed his commitment to improving access to healthcare and supporting initiatives that alleviate the suffering of vulnerable populations. He also thanked the Doctors, Nurses and other who have volunteered to render their services for the upcoming medical outreach.
Welcoming the APC chairman, the Chief Medical Director of JUTH, Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda, appreciated Prof. Goshwe for his continued support and for facilitating such a humanitarian initiative. He noted that the outreach aligns with JUTH’s mission of providing excellent healthcare delivery, training, and research that impact the community positively.
Also present during the inspection were members of the JUTH management team, who took the delegation around the various units and facilities to be used for the program.
The 14-day medical outreach which has begun is expected to feature free consultations, surgeries, dental and eye care, laboratory services, and the distribution of medications all aimed at improving the well-being of residents.
