JUTH HOLDS RETIREMENT AND HANDOVER CEREMONY FOR DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AFTER 34 YEARS OF MERITORIOUS SERVICE

The Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) held a formal retirement and handover ceremony to honour Mr. Yohanna Tunani Jaggu, Head of Accounts Department, who retired from active service after over 34 years of dedicated and meritorious service. The ceremony also marked his 60th birthday celebration.
The event brought together JUTH Management, Heads of Departments, staff, professional colleagues, family members, friends and well-wishers to celebrate his remarkable years of service and contributions to the growth and development of the institution.
In his valedictory address, the retiring officer expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness throughout his career and appreciated JUTH Management, colleagues, friends and family members for their support and encouragement over the years.
Among the key contributions highlighted during the ceremony were the development of a new Accounting Manual, strengthening of internal control mechanisms, establishment of a Debt Recovery Committee, creation of a departmental photo gallery, as well as initiatives aimed at improving security and staff welfare.
Goodwill messages from colleagues, union and professional representatives, the Audit Department and Management commended Mr. Yohanna Tunani Jaggu for his exemplary leadership, professionalism, commitment, teamwork and positive impact on the Accounts Department.
The ceremony also featured the formal handover of responsibilities, marking the commencement of a new chapter following his retirement from active service.
The event concluded with prayers and goodwill messages, with speakers wishing the celebrant continued good health, peace, happiness and fulfilment in his retirement and the next phase of his life.
