JUTH IPPR Sensitizes Administrative Staff on Staff-Driven Public Relations
The Information, Protocol and Public Relations (IPPR) Department of Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), on Friday, 25th September 2026, sensitized administrative staff during the department’s fortnightly seminar at the Administrative Department.
The seminar featured a presentation designed to strengthen staff understanding of their role in protecting and promoting the hospital’s reputation through effective communication, professionalism and service delivery.
The presentation, titled “JUTH Staff as Public Relations Officers,” was delivered by Jangado Casmir Abrak. He emphasized that every member of staff, regardless of department or designation, serves as a public relations officer of the hospital through daily interactions with patients, relatives, visitors and colleagues.
Participants were encouraged to recognize that every conversation, response and action contributes to the experiences of patients and other stakeholders, ultimately influencing public perception and confidence in the hospital.
The interactive seminar also provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on practical ways of strengthening JUTH’s reputation through teamwork, respectful communication, active listening and patient-centered service delivery, reaffirming the hospital’s commitment to excellence in healthcare and customer relations
