DR. GRACE ABSALOM (NEE DASAT) GIVES BACK TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

In a remarkable gesture of gratitude and community service, Dr. Grace Absalom, the best Part I candidate of the Faculty of Public Health and Community Medicine of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, gave back to Jos University Teaching Hospital by renovating the Family Health Clinic, ENT and STC waiting area.
Also, the Commissioner of Women Affairs, donated a television set to Dr.Absalom who gave it back to the Family Health Clinic for health education purposes so as to improve health promotion and disease prevention not just in Plateau state but in the country at large.

The commissioning ceremony, held at the hospital, was attended by notable figures, including the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Pokop W. Bupwatda, and top management staff. The event also saw the presence of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Muftwang, represented by Dr. Shurkuk Cletus Bako, the Honourable Commissioner of Health for Plateau State. In support of the initiative, the Plateau State government donated N500,000.

Dr. Bupwatda expressed his gratitude to Dr. Grace Absalom for her initiative and lauded the Plateau State government for the prevailing peace, which has created a conducive learning environment for health workers at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH). This act of giving back underscores the importance of community support and the role of healthcare professionals in fostering public health education and improving healthcare facilities.
