Miss. Gloria Auta, a one-time patient at the Emergency Paediatrics Unit (EPU) deem it fit to give back to the Hospital, Health workers and patients as she donated sets of colourful bed sheets to the children ward on her birthday, being 7th September, 2023, as a way of saying “thank you” to the Hospital/Management whom she believed had played a very big role in saving her life when she was critically ill.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Management, the Chief Medical Director of JUTH, Dr. Pokop Bupwatda thanked God for healing her as well as thanked her for her beautiful heart, and for appreciating the hospital through this gesture. He called on other good spirited individuals to emulate this act.
Dr. Shwe who represented the HOD, Paediatrics received the items from the Chief Medical Director and expressed appreciation to Miss Gloria Auta and thanked God for the gift of her life.
At the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) were she was transferred to from EPU, Miss Auta said she was giving out the items in thanksgiving to God and all the Health Workers who had showed her much love when she was there.
Responding, the Chief Medical Director said he cherished her thoughtfulness and described her as the good leper in the scripture that came back to give thanks to the Lord for his healing.
Also present was her mother, Arc. Halima Auta, the HOD, of Physical/Facilities, University of Jos who appreciated and thanked the Health Worker them, describing them as Angels on duty and extended her appreciation to Dr. Edmund Banwat the then Chief Medical Director who responded promptly to their call at 12:00am and sent an ambulance to their rescue.

Nr. Williams Nyam, a former nurse of the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Unit at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), has donated essential medical supplies from the UK to support the department.
